We're sending Abrams tanks now. Other NATO heavyweights have other tanks that may go too. I guess those are good. The Uke's seem pumped. Personally, I think if we staged a couple of dozen Warthogs out of Poland, we'd wipe the floor with the whole Russian army in a couple of months. Only that long because they have to land for maintenance and resting the pilots. They're upgrading the hell out of the planes again.

It occurs to me that NATO wants us to put SOMETHING of ours in there so we're sharing the risk with them. Warthogs mite fill that bill; maybe don't need tanks. I recall when they sent Stinger missiles into Afghanistan to take out Russian planes and helos, and it turned the whole war against them.

Saw a good story last night about Russia's energy economy gambit. The whole world ganged up on them to render their leverage useless. Their oil and gas became Confederate, and Europe found other sources. Norway for instance. Caught Putin and me both by surprise. We should get out more. Record global wheat crops this year.

Russia's sad performance to date makes them less of an attractive military ally for China which has imperial ambitions of its own. i feared the two together w/b invincible. maybe not so much now. And maybe China mite not be so eager to try Taiwan w/o a strong Russia to back them against us.

The media, lefties in particular, are trumpeting Russia's woes and even hinting that Putin's reign is in trouble. Wish that were true. We'll see this spring how Russia's offensive makes out.
