I recall in the 1968 world series the Tigers manager moved centerfielder Stanley to shortstop, the first time he had ever played there. Seems like I remember they had a lefthanded reliever that was very good. I might recall some more later on.

Hiller, that's the lefty reliever I think. How in the world did I forget outfielder Willie Horton and the first baseman Norm Cash.

My brother in law caddied for one of those guys. Forgot, but I think McCaulif. Free bonus fact, my father in law was Mark Fidrych's dentist.

I hope his career lasted longer than Fidrych's did.

He struck out 8 in 5 innings, Baummann k'd 6 in 3. G-Rod was pulled after 80 pitches.

Adley hit a homerun today and is hitting .200 at Norfolk.

G-rod is still throwing too imprecisely. I hope he can dial it in a little better.

I hope there is no health issue. If not, I'm not worried about him.

8 Ks seems healthy.

I could argue both ways, but that would be incest. If you added another 5 innings of shutout ball a week, it would be a startling impact. Do it twice, or even three days out of 7. Our bullpen could go nuts on people.

What difference is a few more starts for Norfolk going to make, I wonder. Who would you rather see in the rotation, Watkins or Grayson?
