Mike Rizzo has had himself a busy day. In just a little over 24 hours, he mad SEVEN moves, including the return of two 2019 World Champion Nationals (and I hear another MAY be on the way.)

He brought in three relievers: Steve Cishek, Erasmo Ramierz, and Aaron SAnchez.
He signed utility IF Ehire Adrianza.
He brought back 2019 World Champions Anibal Sanchez and Gerardo Parra.
Then he topped it all of by signing Nelson Cruz.

And the Nationals aren't finished yet.

Plus Doolittle is back to allow any inherited runs to score.

Looks like the same plan as last year. Sign guys to one year contracts and then buy or sell at the deadline based playoff chances.

This is a better team than most people think. I think they could conceivable reach that third wild card.

All depends on Strasburg and Corbin. If both of them pitch well we easily make the playoffs. If they continue to be no-shows we're in the draft lottery.

Worst OPS in MLB, fewest runs scored per game, highest ERA, most runs allowed per game. The Nats have both the worst offense and defense. Matching the 67 wins from last year seems impossible.

Rizzo extending Strasburg after the World Series is turning out to be the worst decision in franchise history, it destroyed us.

The Nats have brought in several competent veterans to surround an excellent core of outstanding young players.
