It sure sounds so. I can see Elias trading him off for a couple of 16 year old kids from the Dominican Republic.

I have no read on the thinking of the O's front office......but it feels like the rebuilding process is going to be a never ending one. Unfortunately Baltimore is a fickle sports town which has shown to flag in interest when not presented with a consistant winning team. I am not sure how long you can keep selling the "rebuild phase" before fans just simply lose interest. It took a three game winning start to make the O's a front page story in the Sun. I still follow......still watch......but baseball just doesn't feel the same to me anymore. Where are the Robinsons, the Palmers, the Powells, the guys who put a face to the franchise? Now days all you here is we have a guy who is developing into a good player but is now being considered as trade bait for even more rebuild folks. I guess I'm just getting too old to understand.

I think it has to something to do with money. Trade them instead of offering a big money contract. We are the Montreal Expos.

At least they buried Davis. smile Mancini and Means are probably the faces right now. Hays might be The Hamstring. Mountcastle a proposed face. If Mullins hits over .600 all year (he leads both leagues), he'll probably earn honorable mention. Maybe the Lord Voldamort back of the head thing.

I don't know why Santander was mentioned. The unawarehouse hasn't offered Roch a scoop in years.

They kept Davis. They kept Trumbo........

right?

Now they shy away from anybody wanting $3 million.Frankly, I wouldn't offer Mancini a contract. I'd trade him for SOMETHING WORTHWHILE. He has one more year under contract, and I'd look to move him this year if he has value.. I'd keep Santander before Mancini if he produces.Mountcastle is your firstbaseman, long term. They need to open space in the outfield, anyway.
