Opening day tickets are going to be tough with only 5,000 available. They already went on sale for Presidents Club and Diamond Club ticket holders (both clubs have been rebranded). For full season plan holders since 2005 they go on sale at ten this morning, for the rest of the full season plan holders they go on sale at two. The big question is whether there will be any left for the second group. No chance there will be any left when half season plan holders get their shot tomorrow.

So far there are 26 tickets listed on StubHub, scattered around the lower bowl. It looks like the club plan holders have already been pushed into the outfield, likely meaning that a large percentage are already gone. No tickets have been sold yet. Prices start at $719 each for seats halfway up the section in centerfield. Buyers have the buy the full block of four so almost three grand for the pod. I'll be very interested to see if resale prices drop or if people pay these prices.

They will have 4,000 seats in the lower bowl and 1,000 in the scoreboard area. Why not open the 300s and 400s? They could get a lot more fans in the ballpark with the exact same spacing or allow for additional spacing for the same number of fans if spacing is the goal.

Parking prices on Spot Hero are set to what they would be on a normal opening day, $45-100 to park within a couple blocks of the ballpark. These I expect to drop because one ninth of the fans in the ballpark means one ninth of the cars looking to park. The Yards lot could end up with zero cars if they don't realize that there won't be any overflow from the cheaper lots.

The rest of April goes on sale too this week. It will be interesting to see if the full season plan holders buy up 100% of the tickets today or if there is a decent number available for the mid-week games for the half and quarter season plans.

45 minutes after the early sale there are a dozen more seats listed on Stubhub and prices have gone down just a little. With there now being a pair of tickets available the minimum to get into the ballpark is $1300. Still none actually sold at those prices.

A few dozen more are there now, with the prices still dropping slightly. None sold so far.

I'll predict that there will be 1500 seats sold on StubHub and that the lowest price will be just under $200.

Damn, I didn't get one for opening day. I was feeling confident because I saw a lot of reports that people had gotten them but I just heard from the head of our ticket group that I'm out.

If anyone else on the site has an extra for opening day let me know. I'll pay a market price based on StubHub and we can cut out the fee on both ends.

I was way way off in my estimate of how many tickets would hit the resale market. The number is now over a hundred. As far as I can tell there are no tickets sold yet, StubHub used to provide actual sale info and I'm not seeing it, so either there are no sales or they removed that feature.

The low prices are dropping, the get in the door price is now under $1000 for a pair of tickets in 142. Best offer available right now is a pair of tickets about 25 rows behind the visitor dugout for $1500 including fees. I figure if you are willing to pay a grand for two seats in the upper deck of center field you might as well spend fifteen hundred on a pair down by the field.

Buy in is now about $800 for a pair, creeping down as the number of tickets listed slowly creeps up, still no sales.

And none of it matters because I got my ticket, right by the Nats bullpen.

Man that's tough, sounds like this season is gonna be an expensive one for us fans trying to get in to the Park.

Tickets for the rest of April are much cheaper, not necessarily cheap, but not like opening day. If the weather is in the 50s for the mid week games prices will drop further.

Opening day tickets are a lot more scarce than I thought, the get in the door price is back to well over a grand. Used to be that StubHub made the actual sale prices available but they removed that feature so we can only see current listings. Probably a few dozen sold and now there is just over a hundred listed.

Had World Series tickets for the 1st 2 home games in that area -- in the 2nd row in the section right above the bullpen. Both seats cost me around $1,500.00 IIRC from StubHub. Man that game sucked.

And then spent about the same amount of $$ for 2 different seats for the 2nd WS home game, second level next to short LF. That game blew too.

Cheapest buy in is back over a thousand bucks. If I were buying I'd wait, the long range forecast is for wet weather with temps in the low 30s.

Ticket prices are holding steady despite the weather forecast. Parking prices have dropped in half.

Prices have dropped in half, although still very expensive, cheapest to get in the door is a pair for $550 including fees. Under a hundred available for sale, the cold and wind in the forecast is starting to affect prices.

Parking prices have dropped and leveled off. The lot across South Cap is a little over $40 with fees. There are Nats Park garage spots for just under $70. Is it worth $25 to not have to walk across the street in the freezing cold and to also avoid getting car jacked?

Tickets listed for sale doubled overnight, still lower than what I expected, but now there are a couple hundred tickets for sale, some people must not want to sit in the cold. Prices with fees have dropped below $200. It will be interesting to see if there is a late rush of buyers.

No game Monday, hopefully no game Tuesday since that is the one day I can't go.

They play Tuesday.

11 players were quarantined.

MLBTR excerpt: Rizzo told...reporters that he was “concerned” about the possibility of playing after “a very, very short workout schedule..."
