I think baseball wants to see more base hitting, something that's tailed off. Maybe to compensate for fewer HRs, they should decree that there be no more than 2 infielders on each side of second base.That alone w/raise Davis' average by 50 points.

I like starting a runner on second in extra inning games, but I DON'T like 7-inning games for doubleheaders..

I don't like any of those new rules, including requiring relief pitchers having to pitch to at least three batters. What's next? A mercy rule? If Davis would stop looking at strike three pitches right down the pipe that would help a lot. I think he's beyond hope though. He hasn't been the same since he got busted for taking Adderall. If there ever has been a contract that should be eaten, it's his. He's worthless.
