The Nats signed catcher Jonathan Lucroy to a minor league deal. MLB rules are that teams can replace players with Covid without affecting the 40 man roster, so the assumption is that one or both of our catchers are on the quarantine list. The team is also looking at bringing back Anibal Sanchez.
It would be a terrible irony if one of our guys who sat out last year was exposed this year before the season even started.
Rizzo should have figured out a way to jump the line to get his guys vaccinated.
