The Red Sox have a terrific rotation, but their bullpen is likely to betray them. Seriously, Ryan Brasier is the closer and Matt Barnes is setting him up? That's a recipe for losing the division.
Their catching isn't very good either. They don't have a very strong farm system, and they're so close to the top luxury tax threshold that even signing someone like Ryan Madson would push them over it. if they go over the top threshold, they would pay a 75 percent luxury tax and be bumped down 10 spots in the draft. Taht could be a factor in July, too.
