Could be interesting.
The Indians are a powerhouse one day and gentle pushovers the next.
One day we beat the Rangers 16-3 (and the three were because we gave them away at the end of a long game)
And the next, with a good starter, quietly bow 5-0.
Basically, we cream poor and mediocre pitching, but if a capable starter comes along we can't touch him.
And although we have two new bullpen pitchers, the bullpen guys (second worst in MLB) have never seen a powerhouse starting performance that they can't give away.
Kluber, on tap to start today, is still about as good as they come - usually - but has been shaky in several games. Basically he seems tired and control, his forte, is no longer a sure thing.
Still, the guys are as good as they come mostly - with periodic failures. They are about fourth or fifth best in the AL.
And if the bullpen existed, would be better.
I'll be watching.
