Bobby Murcer and Jim Lyttle were born on the exact same day in 1946. NYY teammates for a bit, it was the former who signed as an amateur free agent in 1964 and the latter who was a first round draft choice two years later. Lyttle got to play in Montreal, including part of 1976.

Happy Birthday Montreal Expos’ 1st round pick in 1972: Jim Cox Also a first round selection in 1971 (Cleveland, but did not sign). That was about the highlight. Last in the majors with the 1976 club.

Happy Birthday to that 1996 Pirate rental, Charlie Hayes. He got dealt to the Yankees for whom?

Chris Corn. Who pitched 2 years in Lynchburg, got up to Altoona, and that was all she wrote.

What I find disturbing, is he is younger than me, and has been retired since 2001.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Happy Birthday to Mike, son of Dave, Stenhouse (Class act and 1st rounder out of Harvard) and Clyde Mashore – They combined to be below the Mendoza line. And neither played in 1976.
