Why? Because the outfield isn't that strong hitting-wise. I'm not that enamored with Hays as a hitter, and Mullins had one great year and that could be it.

Hays hit well until he messed up his wrist. Then he disappeared. None of them look like all stars. The next generation won't be blocked if they put up numbers.

Bellinger was.

I compare him to CD not by a horrible long term contract, but as a slugger who can no longer slug.

His collapse is similar to CD's.

The one thing that might help him out is that he bats left, and the shift is banned.
