I suggested earlier that people might post how thir families and they were doing.
I'd like to expand that to comments about anything crisis that people find interesting
So far there have been a few pretty neutral comments - and a lot of TP talk.

Here's a link to an article my Boston daughter sent me.
She manages the two programs, as well as others, that are described in the article.

And while we are at it - - -
Here's how to make a simple mask - no sewing required.
According to the internet (of course everything on the internet is true - right?)
this sort of mask is superior to all but the highest grade commercial masks as it is thicker.
I've been using it for a couple of days.

Cool mask, but what if you only have a blue bandanna?

Thanks, Pogo. We're doing well. How about you?

WE have an outbreak of a disease that affects hands, face, breathing, etc., and people rush out to buy...

toilet paper???

Progressives lack compassion and tolerance. Their self-aggrandizement is all that matters.

I'm thankful that I don't live in a major city. I have 4 acres here and we can go outside without worrying about anyone,,,,I'm still working everyday but we are not as busy.People are cremating like crazy and the big casket companies have cut prices on the low end units which is mostly what is selling now. They are losing millions but it's gonna put a lot of smaller companies like ours out of business.Thankfully we have no debt and can survive for a long time.

I wear a mask, gloves and glasses when I get out of the truck. I buy gas mostly at one place. I fill up there each morning and it's within walking distance of our warehouse so I take the gloves off and go to the warehouse and wash my hands good. NO stops anywhere along the interstates. No stops at dollar generals or anywhere else either. I have wipes and soap and water with me and I only stop at the funeral homes and then take the gloves off and use the wipes then wash my hands again before heading back to the warehouse...

Our family is fine right now. I have some concern about the wife and kids though. My son works at a distribution center and is around a lot of people. My daughter works at a rest home and that concerns me. Finally, I hope my nurse wife doesn't get sick.

My nurse daughter-in-law is on a mask per shift quota. My son just got 50 Chinese masks yesterday. Her hospital has forbidden personal equipment use. Good luck on that lawsuit.

My daughter-in-law's uncle is a nurse in an Florida at an institution for institutionalized mentally ill. As of earlier this week, they were out of masks. My daughter-in-law, her mother, father, and sister are churning them out and sending them next day delivery southward. Local friends are also making them for local use with materials supplied by the Cleveland Clinic.
We and other relatives have been offered them, but I am happy to use the bandanna version described above.

And by the way. I applaud martin's careful precautions. For a person who has to be out meeting people they seem utterly sensible. Not that anyone cares, but this is probably the first time I complimented martin for having good sense.
And so should we all (have good sense, that is)

As ANYONE who is a regular here knows, I am not a Reds fan. However I was charmed by this vid I got from our governor's Twitter feed. DeWine suffers from the disability of being from southern Ohio.
