I am posting a link to a new BPG in order to get some feedback. Check it out, it's ready to go....I guess what I don't understand completely is why anyone needs to pay out of pocket for basically the same service that we have here at UBB....(?).....Am I missing something? You tell me - I'm not a tekkie...This could be the answer. No donations needed to fund this puppy. Near as I can tell, it will accomplish the same thing as the the current service. There are no banner ads on it right now, but I'm guessing they will start that barrage as soon as the place gets some traffic. Beyond that, what's the downside of it? Pro Boards has been around for a long time. If complete control is the goal, this may not fit the bill, but please respond below. If you'd like, you're welcome to sign up on the new board and post there to test it out. Look around, offer opinions, suggestions, comments.

Not sure which general announcement you are referring to, but if it's the one that included your decision to keep BPG running, yeah.....I saw it. Listen, I set up the other board with no intention of "stealing" anything from anyone. No need to sound defensive... I did it in an effort to keep things going and carry on the tradition of a name. And I did so immediately after your post that said you were going to shut down on 4/1. Then you changed your mind again....Now I'm sharing the link with you and everyone else only because I am trying to save everyone from any future hassle and expense....That means you in particular, I might add. I can easily scrap the whole project or re-name it if you'd like. If you want, I'll turn the reigns over to you if that's possible to do without starting the whole deal over from scratch again.

I certainly do not want to take over the reigns of any other board. Not everybody sees the admin posts. I finally got this board updated and back online. Post where ever you want.

My point all along is that ProBoards is a FREE alternative....as in costs nothing to operate...zero, zilch, nada. Just thought you might be interested, that's all, since you keep having to scrounge money for this board to stay online. Have any thoughts about that? Did you even go and check it out?
